No matter how fabulous your wardrobe is, accessories really do make the outfit. Adding a pair of earrings, a great belt or a head scarf to an ensemble can make or break it so listen up to these style making accessory trends.
The skinny belt may seem useless, after all, it doesn't fulfill the normal task of a belt, holding those pants up, but it does a very good job in making you look chic and trendy! Adding a thin belt to a long shirt or dress can give it a whole new, fitted feel and a metallic belt goes great with denim. This trend was all over the Spring 2008 runway and continued on to fall, so now it's your turn to work the look! Check out some celebs who have embraced the trend

Another great way to accessorize is to wear something in your hair whether it be a scarf, a hat, a flower or a band. Depending on your outfit, your hair accessory can be the main event or simply a side note. Be careful not to throw the outfit off with an accessory that is "too busy." If your outfit has a lot of patterns in it or a lot of different layers go with a solid color head band or scarf. If you have on a monotone dress or a simply jeans and t-shirt outfit your head accessory can be attention grabbing. You can also throw on a headband to perk up a boring pony tail 'do. A handbag is, arguably, the most important accessory. Whether it is a clutch, a messenger bag or a tote the handbag not only carries your life (keys, money, makeup!) but it should definitely be the finishing touch on any great outfit. The biggest bag trend right now is still the over sized clutch. You don't always have to completely match your outfit or your shoes but try to make some connection between th palette on your body and the palette on your purse. Bags can also do well to add a little life or color into an outfit that may be lackluster. If you've ever had the type of day where all you felt like doing was wearing black (Angelina Jolie, anyone?) then a gold, yellow, red or silver purse can give you some pop
